The Annual Red and White game, Go UTES!

Every year Jeff  to the University of Utah red and white game. The last few years he and Jacob gone on their own. This year we took our friends the Poulson's and met up with our dear friends Gary and Amber Hill. Always fun to be together with these great people.

Jake the GREAT!

Amber, Livvy, Gary

After the game we took Jake around to get the players to sign his ball. They were all so nice to all the kids and really treated them great.

We waited in a line for a half hour to have coach Kyle Whittingham sign his ball. When we were right at the front of the long line, security told everyone that was it. Being the first one they would turn away within a foot or two from the coach I turned into Mama Bear and Coach Whittingham stayed another few minutes. All Jake could utter out to Kyle was "You're awesome." To which Kyle said, "Thanks, I sure like that hat." Poor Jeffry was proud and jealous all at the same time. Ute Pride I tell you. Football does funny things to a man....

After the game we had the Poulson's over for dinner. I love Saturdays like these!

April in Utah!!!!

I always find it funny with people, like myself, who have pretty much grown up here Utah, are always surprised when we get dumped on by snow in April?!?!?!

My answer to that is: When do we not get snowed on in April??

Here are some pictures of the annual April snow. Spring snow is always great because it usually melts in 24 hours. Ahhhh, it would not be springtime in Utah if we did not have it snow!

Look at that manly man shoveling the sidewalk! Mwah!

Spring Break with Cousins

So my dear cousin Heather Clark Peterson, who is one of just three of my cousins who are my age, decided it that we needed to hook up during spring break.

I love this woman! I pick up where I left off every time I see her! Even though we have rarely lived close to each other, I still feel a closeness and love with her that is amazing. I feel the same way with our cousin Cameron who is also our age.

We met at the Kangaroo Zoo in North Salt Lake. Ethan and Jake were instant friends and Tyler played great with them too. It's still fun to watch someone you've known your whole life growing into an amazing mother, wife and person.

Saying Goodbye. So Cute!

Love ya Heather! Let's get together again soon!

The Neighborhood 2010 Easter Egg Hunt.

This was a first for Jake, as normally we have an Easter egg hunt and his Grandma & Grandpa Clark's every year. We participated in the Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt. Jeff was on a business trip to Santa Barbara, California, so it was just me and my boy.

A giant Kudos to the ladies in my neighborhood who put this together. It was well planned, and well organized. Jake had a great time.

Jeff came home later that day and Jake decided to hide all of the eggs he had collected around the house for Dad to find.

That night we "attempted" two color eggs. Much to my surprise, I did not have any of those pills left in my decorations box to dye eggs. But being Karen Clark's daughter that I am, we did the old fashioned way, with real food coloring vinegar and water.

To say we are to artistes would be seriously stretching it. We had a great time anyway.
