I AM IRONMAN, na,na,na,na,na,nana,na, na, na.

For Halloween this year Jake set a personal best.  He went to about 20 houses before he got too scared and had to come home.  Mom brilliantly figure out that taking him around BEFORE it got too dark was the key.  Dad bailed on us and went to the Ute game (with Mom's ok of course) so it was Jake and I who were home.  Jake answered the door for the majority of the Trick or Treaters and Halloween all in all this year was not too bad.  Mom is not a big fan of Halloween.

What a HAMBONE!!

Birthday Boy

Jake, celebrated his 7th Birthday. I am still wrapping my head around this! He's growing up way too fast!!!! Here are some picts of the festivities:

It was a LEGO birthday! I can't believe my baby turned SEVEN!

Jake invited fifteen kids to his party. Fourteen attended! It was a little crazy! The older boy in the yellow shirt that you see in the picture is my nephew Taylor. He was an awesome to me during the party and saved me from losing my head. He's a great kid! Thanks bud!

Jake insisted on wearing this silly hat the whole day!

Jake also requested that both sets of grandparents decorate cookies on his big day with his Grandma and Grandpa's. Last year he requested hide and seek to which they all particiapted. I think they got off easy frosting and decoration cookies this year!

Here is the kid's singing Happy Birthday!

UTAH BOY!

Jeff has convinced Jake that he bleeds RED. Our friend Ryan Boswell painted his face at a neighborhood talent show the kids put together. Very fitting for Football season!
GO UTES!

Love this great kid of ours!

The annual picking of the pumpkins

With Dad at a Ute game, Jake and I decided we would go pumpkin hunting on our own.  Here is our cute boy doing his pumpkin "thing".

He is such a little performer!  I have no idea where he get's it from (wink, wink)!

A Taste of France

We had a unique treat in September with some of our friends Matt, Heather, & Trinity and Jeremy & Kristen. Jeremy grew up in France, his parents are Christian missionairies.

Jeremy and his wife Kristen, treated us to Raclette which is a dish native to parts of France. The Raclette cheese round is heated, either in front of a fire or by a special machine, then scraped onto diners' plates. Ours of course was a done with a groovy little machine we used to melt the cheese.

The cheese is brought to the table sliced, accompanied by platters of steamed potatoes, other vegetables, french bread & deli meats. These are then mixed with potatoes and topped with cheese in the small, wedge-shaped coupelles that are placed under the grill to melt and brown the cheese. We mostly took the slices of melted cheese and simply poured over food on the plate. It was sinfully delicious!!!

Dessert consisted of crepes, fresh fruit, & nutella. I bet we injested thousands of calories, but it was FABULOUS!! Thanks Jer and Kristen!
Jeff and I are the old ones of this bunch. On the right is Jeremy and Matt, Jeff and on the left are Heather and Kristen, these early to mid twenty somethings must think Jeff and I are way over the hill! Great friends! Lots of fun!

Jacob and Trin!!! Trin wanted to make sure Jake saw her new outfit! She is a cutie pie!
